Maglite®, our warranty policy

TEN YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY:

Mag Instrument, Inc. warrants to the original owner that its flashlights will be free from defects in parts and workmanship for a period of ten years from the date of original purchase. Mag or an authorized Mag Warranty Service Center or distributor will, at its option, repair or replace a defective flashlight or component free of charge. (Mag does not guarantee future availability of specific colors or decorations and may substitute a standard flashlight for a custom flashlight.) This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied.

EXCLUSIONS:

This warranty does not cover the following: 1. Battery(s) depletion; 2. Battery(s) leakage; 3. LED burnout and/or failure of the LED module 4. Damage or failure of the flashlight or any component thereof due to modification, misuse, draining of the battery(ies) or lack of maintenance; or 5. Batteries and rechargeable batteries and wearing parts.

Mag disclaims all liability for incidental or consequential damages. Some countries (countries, provinces and states) do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties, incidental or consequential damages and/or limitations on transferability. Therefore, the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.

HOW AND WHEN CAN A WARRANTY CLAIM BE MADE?


1. Please check our FAQs first to see if they could solve your problem.

2. When the battery runs out, please do not return the flashlight to Mag Instrument in the USA or Maglite Europe in Germany, but replace the batteries.

3. If the flashlight was damaged due to battery leakage, do not return the flashlight to Mag Instrument in the USA or Maglite Europe in Germany, but determine which brand of battery caused the damage and follow the battery manufacturer's instructions to claim compensation to realize in the manufacture of the battery (s).

4. For warranty returns: Please contact the retailer where you purchased the flashlight. For further support you are also welcome to contact Maglite Europe in Germany via our contact form. We will then work with you to identify the most ideal service center. It is best to have your proof of purchase/invoice/sales receipt readily available when contacting us. Please DO NOT send any product to MAG Instrument USA, MAGLITE Europe or a service center without contact and verified authorization. If, for your protection and to expedite processing and/or postal claims, a service center has been identified for you, we recommend that you insure all returns and send a certified and/or requested return label. Do not send batteries in your flashlights.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from country to country, province to province and state to state. If any provision of this Warranty is prohibited under the law of any jurisdiction, that provision will be void, but the remainder of this Warranty will remain in full force and effect.
