Disposal of used batteries and used rechargeable batteries
According to the Battery Act (BattG), we would like to inform you about the following:
Old batteries and old rechargeable batteries are not allowed to be disposed with general household waste. For this reason, consumers are legally obliged to return used batteries and used rechargeable batteries.
Such used batteries can be returned at so-called Recycling yards or collection points.
It is best to speak to your local authority or your battery supplier.
If you dispose batteries naturally or improperly, you could harm the environment. Batteries can contain toxic substances.
Batteries can contain recyclable materials which, if properly recycled, can be returned to the raw material cycle. In this way you can make a valuable contribution to the environment.
