Blue is the preferred light source for pilots. Ideal for reading maps in low or minimal light conditions. Blue light offers great detail and doesn't wash out symbols, notes or elevation markers on maps.

Hunters like to use blue light to detect blood. Forensic personnel and crime scene technicians use blue light to detect bodily fluids.
