Periodically (approximately monthly) remove the battery from the flashlight and visually inspect it for signs of gas or chemical leakage. If the flashlight is not going to be used for a long period of time with this battery, it is recommended that the battery be removed from the flashlight. Charge the battery periodically to avoid over-discharge. Over-discharged batteries cannot be recharged!
The ML150LR™/ML150LRS™ flashlight is a high intensity light source that is safe during normal operation by projecting light from a distance when the lens is not covered or jammed. It is not intended for use in hazardous environments, such as explosive environments, where only devices with appropriate hazard approval (e.g. "intrinsically safe" and/or
"explosion proof") should be used. If the device is left on with the lens covered or jammed, this misuse may result in potentially hazardous heat generation, which, depending on the environment in which the device is used, may cause a fire. This flashlight is a high intensity light source that can cause eye damage to the user or others. Avoid shining the flashlight directly into the eyes of others. As with any battery, avoid short circuiting and do not expose this device's battery to open flames or excessive heat, as this may cause the battery to leak, rupture or explode. The charging station is not waterproof and should only be used in dry indoor areas. Exposing the device's charging system to any liquid may cause a short circuit, fire and/or electric shock. Never attempt to disassemble, repair or modify the AC adapter, power plug or charging station. A short circuit, possible fire and/or electric shock could result. If repairs are necessary, please contact an authorized Mag service and repair center.
The flashlight is not designed to operate with the front cover open and the LED exposed. If direct contact occurs, the exposed LED could become hot enough to burn skin or melt or scorch some heat-sensitive materials, e.g. plastics, rubber, fabrics, etc.
Any battery can leak harmful chemicals that can cause damage to eyes, skin, clothing, or the inside of the flashlight. To avoid the risk of injury, never attempt to disassemble a battery and avoid any contact of leaking material from the battery with eyes or skin. If contact with eyes or skin occurs, immediately wash the affected area and seek medical attention immediately.
To reduce the risk of damage to your flashlight:
• Route the power cord away from pedestrian traffic and other areas that may cause wear or tear.
• Never pull on the power cord when unplugging the AC adapter. Always pull directly on the plug.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries in your rechargeable flashlight system. Use only a MAG® rechargeable battery (ML150LR™), (ML150LRS™).
• For long-term storage, remove the battery and store it separately in non-conductive packaging, such as a plastic bag.
• Please follow the steps listed under “Inspection and Maintenance” in this manual.
• Use only genuine ML150LR™/ML150LRS™ replacement parts and accessories. Never connect the flashlight to any attachments not approved by Mag Instrument, Inc. Failure to do so may damage the product and void the warranty.
• Stop use immediately if you notice any changes to the battery, such as swelling, discoloration, or leakage.
• Only charge the battery in temperatures between 32°F and 140°F (0°C and 60°C), as charging outside this range may reduce battery capacity.
• This product is not a toy and is not intended or recommended for use by children.
• Keep the flashlight and all accessories and components out of the reach of small children - especially small parts that may pose a choking hazard to children.
